How is it set up?
The coaching group is either co-created by the participants and coach or set with a particular process in place such as when a book is used by the group to provide further information. In co-created groups, we get together before the group is officially formed to decide on topics we want to discuss, the rules for the group (e.i. whether or not you will allow new members, etc.).In group coaching with a set process, the book or process that is used usually tells us what each session's topics will be but at each session, the group sets the agenda around that topic. For example, the ADHD Money Management group works using a book. One topic might be to work around "paying yourself first"; however, participants may want to talk about how to find the money to do this, another participant might want to figure out where to invest the money. So while the topic is set for each session, the agenda is created by participants at each session.
What is the cost and how can payments be made?
Your investment is between $75 and $125 per month depending on the program, number of sessions, and type and is due monthly in advance via Paypal (we accept credit cards and bank transfers) or by post-dated cheques. Before the first session after you've paid, you'll be given a unique access code for the programme.Where do we meet?
The group meets by telephone through Teleconference Bridge Line. This not only tends to be an excellent way for ADHDers to be coached as it eliminates visual distractions, it is also very convenient and efficient. At our meeting time, you call in on the telephone bridge line, enter the PIN number we will have provided you when you paid your session, and can begin to participate. There may be long-distance charges; however, I can help you find a way to reduce them to no more than $2 in long distance costs per session or better. Not bad eh!How often do we meet?
Sessions are weekly for the first three weeks of every month. On the fourth week of the month, I will provide one hour of laser coaching to anyone who wants individual help. Laser coaching is a type of short coaching that provides you with quick help with issues you may prefer to discuss privately. How is Group Coaching Different from Support Groups?
Both are part of your ADHD treatment options; however, in support groups participants help one another learn tricks to help overcome ADHD and gain from the experience of others in the group who have had ADHD for a long time or who have a loved one with ADHD. For each support session different groups of people come in and discussion is started based on the questions that people bring to the group.Group Coaching is different from a support group in that each participant sets goals, commits themselves to taking action between sessions and are accountable to the group for follow through. This type of support is very helpful for ADHDers as it provides motivation to get into action and to maintain follow-through.
What happens during a session?
During these sessions, we all come together on the phone and start with our "wins" since our last session together, then discuss the areas that are still obstacles to achieving what we set out to do, share ideas for further improvements, commit to our next set of actions for the week and finish off by acknowledging what has been accomplished or learned during the session. What Coaching Groups Can I Join?

How do I know if coaching is for me?
Coaching is not for everyone. You need to have a real desire for change and be willing to do what it takes to change your life circumstances. You have to be willing to invest in yourself and see coaching as an investment. In addition, you need to be patient because changes are not as quick as you would like sometimes. It took you a while to get where you are; it will take a while to change that.Find out first if you are ready to adopt group coaching as part of your ADHD treatment options.
